Most travel insurance policies cover between $500 and $2500 for baggage and personal effects which are lost, stolen or damaged. Usually a per article limit applies as well which can range from $200 to $500 per article depending on the insurance carrier and policy selected. Many policies also have a lower combined maximum limit for all cameras, jewelry, electronics, etc. Always read the fine print for full policy details to identify any conditions and/or exclusions.
