Exclusions are the expenses that the travel insurance company will not pay. Examples of exclusions include: pre-existing conditions (conditions which existed prior to purchase of the insurance), participation in dangerous activities or extreme sports such as sky diving, bungee jumping, etc., pregnancy, expenses resulting from illegal drug use, acts of war, etc. Most insurance contracts have many of these exclusions. Always refer to the policy certificate for full details and any conditions which may apply.
