Some travel insurance plans have cancel for work reasons coverage. This benefit is separate from trip cancellation or cancel for any reason. Cancel for work reasons can reimburse the traveler for pre-paid and non-refundable trip costs if their employer requires them to work during previously approved vacation time. In order to file a successful claim, there must be proof from the employer, such as a notarized statement. This benefit is normally a selectable upgrade that is not automatically included in the policy and will raise the cost of the premium. Always refer to the certificate of insurance for details.
