This new benefit is automatically included (at no additional cost) in TravelSafe’s Vacation, Premier and Prestige travel insurance plans.
Travelers can be reimbursed up to $300 per person for the cost of unused, forfeited, non-refundable payments for shore excursions, theater/concert/event tickets and fees, or sightseeing tours/trips if the arrangements are made during the trip, are scheduled to be used prior to the Scheduled Return Date of the Trip (provided the trip is interrupted for a covered reason.)
This benefit is the first of its kind and an excellent selling tool for travel agents, particularly those agents selling cruises, where onboard purchases are so common.
