Traveling Companions and Travel Insurance

Travel insurance policies cover more than just the travelers listed on the policy.  Many reasons for cancellation and interruption extend coverage to family members and traveling companions.  A traveling companion can be somebody that has arranged to travel with you, and only requires that the two travelers have a common itenerary showing the same dates and locations.  There can be vaious cities and dates of departure as well as return, so long as a portion of the trip shares the same itinerary.  Also, the covered reasons involving a traveling companion must occur during the shared portion of the itinerary.  Always refer to the certificate of insurance for specific details.
