Many travel insurance plans offer a comprehensive package of benefits.  However, there are some policies that are designed to just cover the flight portion of the trip.  After getting a travel insurance quote, scroll down to the second section of travel insurance plans, labeled, “Travel Insurance Limited or No Cancellation.”  Listed there are plans that will cover trip cancellation for the flight only and plans that offer life insurance only.  This is a good way to keep the cost of the premium low if additional coverage is not necessary.  Always refer to the certificate of insurance for details.
