How long will I be covered for an injury or illness which occurred while traveling and insured?

Published by Chris Harvey January 13th, 2009

This can vary greatly depending on the policy selected. Travel medical plans may continue to cover the injury or illness for up 6 months or one year.  Travel insurance plans usually offer a shorter period of coverage upon your return, some with as little as 7 days.
