Chris Harvey – CEO

Chris Harvey is the co-founder and CEO of Squaremouth.com. He spends his days focusing on marketing, media relations, SEO and website design.

Chris has held various positions in the insurance system industry since 1986. He moved to the USA from the UK in 1998 to join an insurance administration software developer. In 2000, he became a partner with MaximSoft, a developer of financial software for insurance carriers.

In 2001, he started developing the concept which was to become Squaremouth. Two years later he launched Quotetravelinsurance.com, a comparison engine for travel insurance. In 2006 the company changed its name to Squaremouth.com. Since then, Chris has grown the company from $1 million in 2006 to $7 million in 2010.

Squaremouth is regarded as one of the most innovative companies in its field and is the fastest growing website of its kind in the USA.

Chris has been featured as a travel insurance expert on multiple radio shows and news publications, such as the New York Times, LA Times, CNN, USA Today, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Forbes, MSNBC and the Wall Street Journal.

Matt Outten – CIO

After graduating from the University of South Florida, Tampa with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Matt worked with several start-ups in the Tampa Bay area.  Matt ran his own consulting firm, Outten Design and Consulting from 2003 until he joined squaremouth.com as CIO in 2004. He is responsible for all website development and maintenance and secures every aspect of the website and the systems used to operate it.
