Tropical climes will continue to attract a slew of American vacationers this summer because travel is so cheap, according to tourism specialists.
But the experts warn that travel insurance is absolutely essential for anyone heading to the east coast, including central America, as weather forecasters are expecting one of the most severe hurricane seasons for many years.
The Climate Prediction Center at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicts that between 13 and 17 named storms will wreak havoc in the Atlantic between now and November.
Seven to ten hurricanes are also expected to hit the eastern seaboard, with between three and five of them becoming major hurricanes by virtue of measuring at least Category 3, according to the meteorologists.
