Almost three in four Christians advocate travel insurance cover, according to a new poll.
ChristiaNet.com, the world’s largest Christian portal, interviewed 216 participants in a survey to determine the view of travel insurance among its believers. The vast majority – 148 – voiced their support for adequate travel cover.
Answers to the poll highlighted potential ways in which a vacation could go awry and the need to protect families and traveling companions.
“Before taking a trip, check into all the options available to cover losses related to travel,” said Bill Cooper, president of ChristiaNet.com.
He also recommended that Christian vacationers invest in travel insurance with cover for trip cancellation, providing reimbursement for missed flights or amended travel plans.
Of the 16 that indicated it would be unchristian to invest in travel insurance, one indicated that travel cover constituted a “lack of faith”, while another said that God was the only protector he needed. Over 50 respondents were unsure or undecided.
