Leading low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines is offering Floridians the chance to embark on a late spring getaway to the Bahamas, Caribbean or Latin America, from just $19.
Flights from the discount operator’s Fort Lauderdale hub to the Jamaican hotspots Nassau, Kingston, or Montego Bay start at just $19 in each direction, as long as you book before the midnight deadline on Wednesday, May 2nd.
Other destinations in the sale served by Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International include Port Au Prince in Haiti, Puerto Rico’s capital San Juan and Guatemala City, the capital of the eponymous Central American republic.
The link with Guatemala will kick off on May 10th.
Discounted flights, starting at $49 each way, also connect Orlando with Jamaica’s Kingston and Montego Bay, as well as Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. From both Orlando and Tampa, Spirit passengers can reach San Juan for a rock-bottom fare.
Barry Biffle, Spirit’s chief marketing officer, said: “Our ultra low-cost structure allows us to be successful while allowing our customers who couldn’t afford to travel before the chance to fly.
“We invite Floridians to come see what all the fuss is about.”
Travel must be completed between May 4th and June 13th and finalized at least a week in advance. Taxes and extras apply to the quoted fares.
When heading overseas, American vacationers should also be sure to invest in suitable travel insurance.
