Terrorism is a covered reason for trip cancellation in many travel insurance plans. Some plans only provide coverage if the scheduled arrival date is within 30 days of the incident. Not all plans cover both foreign and domestic terrorist events. Also, some plans require that the policy be purchased within a small amount of time from the deposit date in order to qualify for the terrorism coverage benefit. Always refer to the certificate of insurance for details.
