When something is lost, stolen or damaged while on vacation, travel insurance can help. The baggage & personal items loss benefit will reimburse the traveler, up to a set amount, for specific items. This covers more than just the flights, it usually lasts for the duration of the trip. If there are items valued over $1000, it is wise to schedule these items on a home-owners insurance policy.
